Re: netatalk, AsanteTalk, EtherWave
I have never seen one that does the right phase that the IIgs will
deal with, nor have I ever heard of one until this very moment, but I
have heard confirmation many many times with my statement that the ZFP
one didn't work. But there was also a difference, as the ZFP ones I
always say never carried the 'CS' label either.
Model 10100 is the one I'm referring to as the ZFP that does not work.
The rack one, 10104 does work. ZFP means 11.5" square, sits under a
compact Macintosh model like the HD 20 and various SCSI drives did
over the years.
...and I have had them cross my path quite often over the years past.
Basically, the IIgs will just crash royally hard and solid the moment
you try and use that Control Panel to get anything, which is/was a
characteristic among about 50% of the bridge hardware out there. No
amount of firmware or settings at any of these devices mattered and
inquiries to the support lines when co-mingled with "Apple II" were
usually flat out met with "we don't support that".
