Appleshare on ROM 1

I have successfully used AppleShare between my IIGS and new Macintosh.
However, I have a number of peripherals, and all my slots are used up. I
have a PC Transporter in slot 7, my SCSI card in slot 2, a Superdrive
with controller card in slot 5, and 5.25" disk drives connected to the
disk drive port mapped to slot 6. With slots 3 and 4 used by frimware, I
am out of slots. I was wondering if I could move the PC Transporter to
slot 1, and still have AppleShare work using the modem port. I haven't
tried it, because it is difficult for me to move the cards around because
of all the wires. I just thought I'd ask fist.
