I use three alkaline "AA" batteries in a RadioShack holder, with the leads soldered to the posts of the former lithium battery. I had used "Nite Owl" batteries, but I think they're defunct. Anyway, my system works well. I also use a CDEV that saves control panel settings in a file: "lithium grease" I think it's called. Good Luck!
