QWK n easy reader for Internet mail

I downloaded a program called QWKnEasy from Caltech the other day.
It is an offline reader for QWK formatted mail. It looks pretty
good and I am curious if it could be adapted for use with "regular"
(i.e. Internet) e-mail.
Does anyone know of a UNIX utility that can convert Internet mail
to a QWK stream?
I am thinking of converting the mail into QWK, sending it to the
screen for capturing, saving the file and then calling up the
reader. It would be fun to try none the less.
