Yes, I was referring to the AE card. Nate has one and he
claims that he has to avoid DMA if he pushes his card to
6MB and trashes 8MB configurations in his FAQ because of
this belief. However, now he says he has a Ramfast rev. D.
The fact of the matter is that all Ramfast users that
have problems with DMA and 8MB seem to be Ramfast rev. C.
users. That's why I'm suggesting that Nate give 6MBs
a try with DMA on so that he'll believe it and change
this error in his FAQ.
Anyone else has 8MB and DMA with a Ramfast rev. D?
The more success stories we have in public, the more
likely (hopefully) Nate will turn from his prejudice
against 8MB users and correct the FAQ.
