   According to some, based on its excessive size and metal edges near
the metal insides of the GS top, it's a great firestarter. :) The
official purpose of it, though, it to connect up multiple ram cards at
once (which kills DMA to them for a performance loss with HDs), and
battery-backup part of ram for an optional 'ROM' disk. [Kinda like a
RAM disk, but doesn't disappear when the GS's power goes out]
