Heh ... a couple of years ago I wanted CVS for the IIgs. Well, that
requires RCS to be ported first, since CVS is based on RCS. OTOH,
RCS requires both patch(1) and a GNU-compatible diff(1).
So I ported diff, and it works (mostly). I also ported patch. Patch
has a few more problems than diff, but both are usable if you're
careful about filenames. However, in order to fix them up properly,
I needed to make some changes to the GNO libraries.
One thing led to another, and now the libs are in full overhaul, and
I'm working on GNO proper, rather than just the occasional library.
A few years have passed now, and I still haven't got back to RCS and
CVS.
Kind of a "stream of consciousness", thing, isn't it?
Anyway, my original work on RCS and CVS is now out of date; those utils
have changed a lot since I first started my port. If anyone wants to
work on this project, let me know. Otherwise I shall return to it
some day, but not before a major release of GNO is out ...
Followups sent to csa2g.
