Thanks for all the assistance!  I got the MicroModem working on the
IIe with Kermit-65.  I reran kermit.install which allows the modem
driver to be selected (the MicroModem is one of the choices).  I also
set the port in kermit.init.  It's slow (1200 baud?) but works well.

This exercise was strictly for fun.  I have much faster modems and
systems for routine telecommunications, but I have to admit it felt
good to play with the IIe.  :)
