This isn't true.  Okay, no APPS are runable, this we know, no prob.
But there are things which can be copied off of a Mac floppy/HD onto
a GS floppy/HD which will run fine:

 - Data which is universal, like JPGs, GIFs, and TXTs.

 - Data which is Mac-specific but can be operated upon, like MacPaint
    picture files or TrueType fonts.

Anyone care to name more Mac-to-GS portable stuff?

<BTW, Steve...  Yes, Mac system disks DO have a use on a GS:  reformat
them.  Oh heh, that's usually the AOL-free-startup-disk solution!>

Yes, it can be.  The Install disk has the parms to do it, and I for one
would not be without a bootable 3.5" disk in my moments of need.  Take
note that the disk will boot just the essentials due to disk space, but
there is indeed room to put on whatever doodads you may need for your
config (Vulcan driver, RamFast driver/util, so forth) either "plain" or
after deleting things which aren't used in bootup on your system (some
of the CDEVs, "T3" if used on a ROM 01 machine, etc.).

Pretty much.  Sys601 won't *let* one boot up with less than that.

"For now."  :)  And there's not a thing wrong with ProTerm for doing
Internet stuff lemme tell ya, if you have a good shell account.  When
moving files on a GS with ProTerm, make sure that what you're shipping
is not 16-bit (the forks aren't recognised) so running GSHK on anything
which is forked to pack them up is a good idea.
