Stupid Question

I'm not an Apple user, but my soon to be in-laws are (or at least they
have) and Apple IIe....what would I need to get them at least e-mail
access to the internet (besides a choice of ISP's??)

As far as I know there isn't a modem installed in the machine, so I need
to start from there.

Any help is appreciated......please respond by e-mail....my ISP only
updates the newgroups every 12hrs and seem to concentrate on the binary
newsgroups.
