If you're going to connect anything via SLIP/PPP to another
machine, you need to be expecting the same protocol on both ends.
Thus, you're going to need to run a SLIP server on the PC for
Marinetti to work. If you have a clue and are running a unix variant
on the PC (linux, *bsd*, solaris, etc), just run either SLiRP or
slattach to do that.
But, as you think the ports are 'COM*', you're probably running
MS-DOG or Windoze-- for those, you'll need to hunt around for the
server stuff. WinNT probably has the server code as a more 'standard'
part; for DOS or Win95, you might have to do some hunting around for
3rd party solutions.
