I also just got a Laser 128, and I think the equivalent is a non-enhanced
Apple IIe, the slot on the side is a expansion port like the Apples have.
And the drive is a 140k SsSd.
You didn't happen to mention the cables that came with it, so I am going to
assume that you already have a din-5 to db25 connector for a modem.
You can go to www (or ftp).apple.asimov.net for some great programs in
standard .dsk format.
Once there look for a program called "ADT121.zip" (or something like it).
Snag it, make up the cable that it requires (cheep) and read the
instructions on moving the xfer program to the Laser.
After that you can have your pick of any file in the /image/ directory of
apple.asimov.net
Get ProTERM. I think it is the best.
