You know you're a diehard when you judge new computer equipment on the
market by how well you could use them with your system. ("2 gig hard
drive? Nice, but this 426 meg drive better suits me...")

You know you're a diehard when you see a 'naked' hard drive on the shelf
of a thriftstore and your first action is to see if it's a 50-pin SCSI.
Likewise, whenever you see an item with two Centronics 50 connectors on
the back you have an impulse to buy it, even if you don't need it.

You know you're a diehard when your SCSI chain *could* stretch across
the room, albeit 3 to 6 feet at a time. :)

You know you're a diehard when friends with Pentiums and 6 megs worth of
browsers call you to ask YOU to hit the web to find something for them,
"because you don't see all that crap under Lynx."  {Happened yesterday!}

 LJS| Actually I think the ad was for a Sider 20 meg hard drive. Which
    | we all know is not a SCSI drive.

SASI. But one can get a SCSI EPROM burned and replace the drive...
there was a report here once about someone who did just that. Which is
a sneaky way to say, "Yes, this is my Sider 320 meg hard drive..."
