I tried it on the interface command set up ... I previously had  'CTRL-I
80N' and it has always worked fine.  '0N'  does not eliminate the
problem....

Normally when I'd print the % bar shows fine ..... now the get misc
reverse characters on the top two lines of the screen when it's printing.
Could it be failed Grappler + card firmware?
