Wow, you have an Apple IIGS laptop?  You must be one of the lucky few
that had Tony Diaz of Alltech put a GS into a Kaypro case.  :)

If that modem is an external modem, then chances are that all you need
is a cable (see http://www.allelec.com/).  My GS runs fine with a 33.6
speed modem.  It is accelerated, but even with the accelerator off, it
can match a PC on the same phone line in cps.

If the modem is an internal modem, then you are out of luck.  Chances
are, they require a proprietary Dell connector and don't have a standard
RS232 serial port, which is required to connect to a GS.
