Okay, thanks, everyone, for all the history; I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It
does sound like an extremely crappy implementation of the software.  I
would have respected the IIGS platform and done everything in a
mouse-based GUI with SHR graphics throughout, but of course I would never
work for AOL in the first place.

Maybe I should restate my problem:
I am LOOKING for a COPY of the actual WORKING software before they NUKED
it, so I can PLAY with it and have a JOLLY-GOOD time criticizing AOL. 
Could someone please direct me to an FTP, Telnet, Web, -=whatever=- site
where I could find it, or please e-mail it to me.

P.S.  A computer platform is never deceased until the user(s) cease to
make use of it.  One only has to look in comp.sys.apple2 to find that the
Apple // line is FAR from dead!
