There's an easy solution to this: use Bernie ][ the Rescue instead of XGS
on a Mac.  And THEN see how fast you can emulate a IIgs.  At a guess, the
emulated IIgs would run at speeds far greater than a real IIgs could ever
cope with, if emulated with a PowerMac G3.  I'm currently using the near 4
year old PowerMac 7100 and I'm emulating a IIgs with Bernie roughly
equivelant to my own 8Mhz Zipped IIgs.  Not to mention that Bernie has
more features than XGS and far greater compatibility.  Why use anything
else? :-)
