You might try cleaning the drive,if the head is severely soiled
it may not read anything. Have you tried running the self test
(while holding down the 2 apple keys & control, press & release
the reset key)?
The 3.5 unidisk won't work on the earlier IIc unless it's had
a ROM upgrade(the IIc that is). The Laser 3.5 isn't compatible
with any Apple II unless it has a special controller card,
which of course a IIc doesn't. The Laser 3.5 is actually a
Macintosh drive with the addition of an eject button.
