Re: More GS ROM suggestions

The Apple IIc never had an RGB port, what it had was a video
expansion port (there is a big difference between the two). The
only display that would work with the port directly was the LCD
flat panel display Apple and a third party sold.

Anything else that plugged into there had to be an adapter.
Apple made an RF-modulator and Video 7 made a digital RGB adapter.
Though without a special adapter however, the port was more or
less useless (I say that because of the rarity of the LCD video
displays out there to plug directly into the back of the IIc).

The Apple IIgs came with an analog RGB port and a composite
video connector. There was nothing special about the latter port
otherwise (actually is it less than I would have hoped for, while
quite usable for emulated graphics modes, it was not adequate for
native Super-Hi-Res video modes. You really need a VOC card to
display GS video to a television set or VCR).
