As far as I know, there is no "owners manual" for the IIgs. There
is something called the "Apple IIgs Owner's Guide" which came with all
new IIgs's.

The "'Owner's Guide" is filled with pictures of family members
balancing checkbooks and writing letters. While it may have some
sentimental or collector value, it contains very nearly zero useful
information.

To get the GS equivalent of the old-time Apple II "Reference
Manual", you will need the "Apple IIgs Firmware Reference" and the
"Apple IIgs Hardware Reference". These may be available from ByteWorks.

The closest thing to a single, comprehensive owner's manual for the
GS is Fischer's "Apple IIgs Technical Reference". This is a fat (700
pages) soft-cover book published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill.
