Insert "Apple II" between 'its' and operating systems'. Starting
with System 7, Apple's been selling updates to older users what
they're providing with new machines, which isn't any different from
MS's model.

Apple II OSs have been distribution limited but free/media costs
(unless you wanted to shell out a premium for the 'manual' for say
System 6). Remember, Apple *is* the copyright holder, and they have
the right to do what they want with their software. [Including not
give us anything after 6.0.1]
