I can't answer your question about this particular printer driver, but a
word of caution about the Canon BJC-4550 printers in general: I haven't
found one yet that works correctly over a sustained period of time where
printing black text is concerned. Our office has had a total of THREE
of these babies, the second and third ones obtained through the "instant
exchange" program at Canon. They'd work fine for a few days or maybe
even a week; then all of a sudden they would refuse to print text
correctly. An entire page would be printed postage-stamp size, and at
the top left corner of the page. All printer software was installed
correctly (and re-installed many times), all tips and tricks that the
technicians could tell us over the phone were tried, all to no avail.
We finally gave up on the thing and are now using a different printer.
