IIgs printing on a BJC-4550 ?

I wonder if the Harmonie Epson LQ driver would enable a IIgs to print on a
Canon BJC-4550 (even though this printer lacks the DIP switch for
automatic Epson LQ  emulation of the earlier BJ-xxx printers).
Furthermore, would it be possible to turn on this emulation feature from
Basic Applesoft ?
