How big is your hard drive?  One way would be to copy from
the damaged partition to the undamaged one, reformat the
damaged partition, and return everything to the original one.

Before you do so, check your Icon files.  It may be possible
to have an invisible Icon for the folder.  One more thing
to consider: there is an extension that lets you move things
beyond the edge of your Finder desktop.  If you moved your
folder out there and then deleted the extension, your folder
would still be out there.  I forgot the extensions name,
but it is equivalent to "StepOut" for the Mac.
