just if anytone is following, sonce we went to email, I mentioned to
NAthan that it only happens on 4 of 7 machines, so he suggested
duplication the exact load order of das, inits etc form a machines that
doesn't crash, which sounds right to me!

: That's almost always caused by a software malfunction in my
: experience. You may want to reinstall GS//OS and the Finder just to
: be sure the files on disk are fine [though if you could boot to the
: finder initially withough problems, that's probably not going to help]
