Actually, I think you're grossly oversimplifying it. IMHO there are:

o Nathan Mates -- and his FAQ
o Dr Tom and the 'Turlettes' -- so-called evil dope dealing pirates
o Joe -- Apple // developer extrordinare
o Neutrals -- people who don't really enjoy these flamewars
o Anti-pirate flamers -- who feel any piracy is evil
o Moderate anti-piraters -- who feel that piracy is bad only if the software
being pirated is no longer commercial available
o Kevin Nonnan and friends -- Seem to enjoy posting flames.
o Potential FAQ writers -- who see this all as an oppurtunity to write new
  FAQ material.

Personally, I think I fall mostly into Moderate anti-piracy, and Neutral,
sort of, since although I'm sort of leaning towards Tom [if only because
I place little value on people who consistently post abusive articles], I'm
still trying to be rational about this whole affair and listen to all the
arguments.
