No need to do that. Just go to ftp.info.apple.com and get the hqx versions
of the system disks. They will convert into Disk Copy images, ready to be
written to DD disks. To make sure you have no problems writing to the disks,
format 'em on the Mac. Otherwise there's a small chance that the Mac won't
recognize the disks. This may pop up if you have speech recognition installed
or if you have composite SIMMs in your Mac, and perhaps other unexplained
reasons. Once you have a set of disks, boot the IIgs from the disk named
SYSTEM.DISK.
: 2. Is there an EASY way to get programs from the net onto a floppy for use
: with my //gs? The FAQ just made my head spin :)
Go to www.dejanews.com and search for "protype" and you should find lotsa
info on how to set it up.

Ick, GV modems suck. I'd prefer a USR myself. Actually I don't have a modem
connected to my IIgs any more since downloading and converting files on the
Mac and networking 'em to the IIgs is so dad gum easy.
: 4. Any other help you can give me ^_^
Unsolicited advice: make sure the person you ask for advice knows, uses,
and likes Macs or else you'll get useless info.
