IW2 problem
Hi,
I have an ImageWriter II that is behaving strangely sometimes. It
behaves great under GS/OS with Appleworks GS, or any other of the other
GS/OS print programs.
However, when I try to print a long text file that doesn't use the
GS/OS drivers, the printer messes up when it gets to the bottom of the
page. It switches font, starts printing on the same line without advance
(though the tractor advance still works when I advance it with the
line/form feed buttons) and basically prints garbage.
I have another ImageWriter II that I stuck in its place which
works fine under the same circumstances. I thought maybe the dip switches
were set wrong, but they're the same.
Could the printer's small cache memory have a bad area that
doesn't show up under the relatively slow GS/OS printing? Any other
ideas?
Thanks in advance to all.
