PaintWorks Plus and Gold were published and sold by Activision/
MediaGenic, and as far as I know, are no longer available from any
source. Both have been made obsolite in any case by later paint and
draw programs (DeluxePaint II by Electronic Arts is another program
which has also been surpassed by newer ones incidentally).

What your thinking of is Platinum Paint 2.01. That is the best
paint/draw program available (despite some short-comings and bugs),
along with DreamGrafix if you want to use more than 16 colors. What
I used to do is draw the outline image in Platinum Paint and then
load it into DreamGrafix to colorize.

Scantron Quality Computers was selling Platinum Paint for only
US$19.95 several months back, with the note "Quantities are Limited
-- Order Today!)". That seemed to imply a clearance sale to purge
remaining stock, so it's quite possible it may not be available
any longer. As for DreamGrafix, that too is probably not available
now since its only distributor (EGO Systems) is out of business.
Assuming there is stock remaining, Platinum Paint is the only one
left today...
