33.6K ][gs Modem PSA

Hi all,

	Mac Mall has external US Robotics 33.6K Sportster Fax/Voice modems
on sale for $49.99 (this is after a $20 rebate).  I just got it today (10
hours after I placed my order it was at my door) and it is working with my
][gs like a champ.  I'm getting ~2800 cps throughput at 26K (still
haven't had a clean enough line for a full 33.6K connection and probably 
never will here).  BTW:  It is upgradable to 56K for $60 --so the total
charge for a 56K modem is $110 which is less than one brand new.

	Note that I said $49.99 AFTER a rebate from US Robotics, so the
total charge at order time is $69.99 plus shipping (~$4).

	I think that is a great price and I just wanted to let people know
about it.  It comes with a mac hs modem cable that plugged right into my
][gs modem port, so I was good to go in about 5 minutes.  Incidentally,
shipping was only $4 for overnight (only took 10 hours for mine).

	Mine works and I'm happy.  Results may vary, but I'm just passing
on some info for you all.

	They told me that the priority number was so they would know what
catalog you're using.  I don't think you'll need it, but just in case I
