    That is just the nickname given to the Bell & Howell computer,
which were nothing more than black painted Apple II Pluses with a 
different name plate glued on (and apparently, a special kit in
back that bolted down the lid and added some A/V connectors, which
should work if connected to a regular II Plus). They were only sold
to schools, back in the very early 80's.

    I think the Platinum Apple IIe is more interesting, at least
that had changes to the case, keyboard and motherboard, even if
it was still basically unchanged from earlier Apple IIe's. I'm
more eager to collect a grey IIe than a black II Plus, but knowing
me, I'm sure I'll end up with both eventually. ;) (Kind of funny
that I don't have common things in my collection like a Platinum
IIe or 'Woz' cover IIgs, but instead managed to find an IIc LCD
screen, SuperDrive card, IIc Plus :)
