Say What? What "piracy" have I been involved with in the past? Be
specific and include your evidence, please. The accusations by children
don't constitute proof, however.

This newsgroup is *way* out of control. The little clique of
self-righteous assholes, and you know who you are, PLEASE start your own
"moderated" group. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
The rest of us will get on with our lives.

You know, this kind of crap doesn't happen in other groups dedicated to
dead systems. The TRS-80 group comes to mind (comp.sys.tandy). People
freely discuss the sites where software can be downloaded. All of which is
not available anywhere else.

I think the problem here is, some people can't accept that the Apple //
series is dead. It IS dead. That some people naively and/or foolishly
still try to make money selling software for it makes no difference. There
are still people selling TRS80 software also. Would you say the TRS80
market is alive and thriving?

Face it folks, when entire systems with loads of software are GIVEN away,
when the system's manufacturer no longer supports or sells it, when the
only new software is from people doing it for the love of the system
(myself included), then it is dead.

On the other hand, lots of current PC software is uploaded to newsgroups,
free for the download. But since the potential market is millions, the few
hundred or thousand sales lost is not too big percentage wise. But here,
where the market is only a few hundred or thousand, the effect can be
devastating. Again, because this market is dead.

Let's try and keep this in perspective. The world no longer revolves
around the Apple //. Fortunes won't be won or lost due to what happens
here.

Get over it, people.
