Apple II to Mac problem

    Ok, I'm snowed.

I am attempting to move files from an Apple IIe to a Power mac.I've got
an imagewriter  cable with a mac plug an one end and a db-25 on the
other(this is what apple says to use in article #1178 dated 7/9/85), and
I've got a Super serial card in the Apple 2.

I have tried to use ADT as well as II-2-Mac, and neither seems to do
anything. I even went so far as to type ADT into my Apple 2 (5000 or so
hex digits).

I can see that either something is not set up right on the mac, the
cable is configured wrong, the serial card is configured wrong, or the
apple 2 is configured wrong I am now at my wits end. I have tried many
switch settings on the SSC (as from apple article#1387 10-23-85) and I
have tried another imagewriter cable.

Can anyone shed light on this?
