While the idea of some code or "constitution" for csa2 may spring
from the best of intentions, it overlooks an essential fact: Csa2 has
worked and continues to work just fine. The overwhelming majority of II
users who read and post to this newsgroup have no difficulty handling
Free Speech, discerning truth, and making ethically correct decisions.
A "truce"? Fine; but, like, where is the war?
On one side we have the mini-clique of 'usual suspects' complaining
that csa2 members are dolts and fools who need to have their forum
censored. They are, nearly always, the ones who seek to limit, shut down,
close off, and sabotage Apple II resources and initiatives. On the other
side, we have everyone else, which is to say about 99% of those of us who
participate in csa2.
This is a pretty one-sided situation. A conflict between such
mismatched 'forces' hardly qualifies as a "war" requiring abatement via a
"truce". Besides, as the creator of FlameStation has observed in another
thread, an occasional tempest in a teapot can be entertaining!
