   It would help to note what type of SCSI card you have on the GS, if
any other drives are present, etc. For starters, check to see that the
SCSI chain is properly terminated; if you have an Apple High Speed
SCSI card, Apple stretched the rules too far and forgot to supply
termination power without user-modifying the card. Some drives (Zip
drives are the most popular ones with this problem) require this;
either modify the card or make sure there's a device on the chain that
supplies this. Also make sure the drive's SCSI ID is set to a number
from 1-6.
