applescript and the internet

Probably not suited for the apple II newsgroup but i couldnt find
anything more relevant.
Anyway ive got a problem with applescript. I need a script that will
make a call to open a ppp connection similar to the way netscape does
when it starts up. Im not using ot/ppp so the scripts that are included
with it are not viable and ive tried them. The script needs to just send
a call that says "Open a connection to the internet". Just like
netscape. if anyone has any ideas or scripts that do this just mail me.
