My reply is assuming that your drive is a "Disk ][" type.

The original Apple "Disk ][" drives have no internal addressing of any
kind. Whether a drive is "Disk 1" or "Disk 2" is entirely a function of
which connector it is plugged into on the interface card.

In other words, it will work just fine as your only floppy drive.

You must have a "Disk ][ Interface Card". It's an itty-bitty card with just
8 chips on it.

Be careful when plugging the drive into the interface. If it is mis-plugged
by one pin, a chip in the drive will be blown.
