I'm not sure if I missed a major milestone in IIgs peripherals, but I believe
you are referring to the Tulin floptical. (Even though Olympus does indeed make
magneto-optical mechanisms.) A floptical is basically a
high-capacity 3.5" disk with optical markers for more precise head alignment.
(Duuuuh, okay, this explanation proves I'm not a techie. Glad about anyone
who's gonna correct me. :) ) A MO is a magneto-optical and a completely
different thing.
BTW, magneto-optical and optical drives are not the same.
