First off, make sure the outlet you're plugging them into is
powered. Use a lamp or whatever to make sure there's electricity
available. Next, jiggle all power connections from the wall outlet to
the motherboard to make sure they haven't oxidized, worked loose, or
the like. Next, try makeing sure the computer is off, then pull any
and all the cards from the slots in case of problems-- you do not need
any cards to get a //e to boot and be responsive.
A //e should make a beep when first powered on, assuming power,
connected speaker, and a functional motherboard.
