Joe,
Can IIGS users hope for an update to the Harmonie drivers to include
drivers for some of the newer HP printers such as the 850 and 870 DeskJet
series? The reason I ask is because I am using a DeskJet 560 driver with my
870 Cse and their is an intermittent problem with pixels missing from black
text. (The 870 Cse has two print cartridges, a black and a color.) It's
almost like it's not spraying enough black ink for the black text. Color
text printing is fine. The interesting thing about this is I don't have the
same difficultly when printing from my wife's 486. Other than the Harmonie
driver, I don't know what the problem with the GS printing could be. I have
tried every DeskJet driver with every possible combination of Harmonie
settings on the GS and have seen improvement, but the black text problem
remains. Once and a while I get a perfect printout, but usually it's not.
Don't misunderstand. To the naked eye, it looks ok, but if you look at it
closely, you can see the problem with the black text.
