//c motherboard upgrade?

Here's a question. I have one of the first //c's released (we bought it as
a discounted floor model oh those years ago). It has a bug rendering the
modem port useless. Apple offered a free upgrade at one point, with the new
board including an expansion slot. I've been thinking of starting an Apple
// collection, and wouldn't mind upgrading that old //c. Are there any of
those boards floating around, and would they be a bitch to install? Thanks.
