Fine. While we'er at it, a statement containing an error is not,
necessarily, a lie. To be a lie there must be an intent to deceive.
Thus, to label a simple error as a "lie" does, itself, skirt the
slippery slope of lying. At best, it is a weak tactic which tends to
devalue any associated corrective information.
