I'd like to thank everyone that answered both in the newsgroup and via
e-mail.  It was feedback from the diskdrives I'm pretty sure as
evidenced by the following.

1. A clock like ticking
2. Doesn't click when the mouse button held down
3. Doesn't click when speaker disconnected

Thankfully I was able to solve this by attaching an old pair of speakers
I had kicking around.  It really was getting on my nerves :^)
