Hi Everyone,
I've just been given a Mac SE and before you lot jump on me whinging that this
is an Apple 2 group and how dare I used the M word here, let me tell you that
the only thing I've ever used a mac for was to get software into my 2GS. Now I
want to know what use is the Mac in an Apple 2 environment? All I've noticed so
far is that the keyboard and mouse are ADB and possibly worthy of theft for the
2GS! Harold Hislop used to say that fishtank macs made great 2GS peripherals.
It has 1Meg of ram, a 20Mbyte internal hard disk and an 800K floppy drive (my
2GS has 5Meg ram, 100Mybte hard drive, colour display etc - there's a perverse
satisfaction in saying that my 2GS is more powerful than my mac!). Can I run,
say, PPP on the mac, since the lack of this on the 2GS will be the death of
that machine, I believe. Few ISP's are offering shell accounts anymore...
