Kfest '97 Reminder

IMPORTANT KFEST '97 REMINDER!!!
Kfest '97, the most important Apple II event of the year, will be
here before you know it. In fact, the deadline for registering at the
super special $300 rate is fast approaching. If you registered by
Tuesday, May 20, you will save $75 off the normal price for attending
the event. After that date, the registration fee goes to $375.
May 20 is also special because that's the day when the Kfest '97
Committee has to reach the break-even point. The magic number is
very close now, but a few more registrations are needed to ensure that
the event will indeed occur this summer.
So please don't delay! If you're planning to attend but have not yet
registered, DO IT TODAY!! Your registration just may be the one that
puts us over the top. And you'll save $75 as well.
Planning is under way for this year's program, and several speakers
have already been confirmed.
This year's keynote speaker will be David Kerwood, webmaster for
A2 Web (http://www.syndicomm.com/a2web), and owner of a web page
design company called West Bay Web.
Among other speakers expected to lead sessions are Geoff Weiss, one of
the principal developers of Spectrum Internet Suite; Ryan Suenaga, editor
of GenieLamp A2; and Max Jones of Juiced.GS.
Remember, KFest '97 will again be held on the campus of Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri. It will take place from July 30 - August 3. Registration _includes_ use of a double room in the Avila College dorms _and_ meals! There are also a limited number of single rooms available for $375. (If you wish to stay at one of the many hotels or motels near the college then the cost is $225, but you would, of course, have to find and pay for your own room and meals.) The last date pre-registrations will be accepted is July 20th.
Check-in will be on Wedensday from 1-4 pm, and check-out from 11 am - 1
pm on Sunday. Computer sessions will be conducted on Thursday and
Friday. A vendor fair is scheduled for Saturday morning, with software
and hardware demos slated for Saturday afternoon.
Meals included in the registration price are Thursday breakfast through
Sunday breakfast, with the exception of Saturday dinner.
++ Please Note++ Dinner on Wednesday and Saturday are NOT included this
year. Attendees can dine on their own at one of the many fine restaurants
near the Avila campus, or join the Kfest '97 group for its annual treks
to KC Masterpiece and Jess & Jim's Steak House.
