It's not IIgs>SCART + SCART>VGA... It's IIgs->SCART
> cable along with a Highway SCART RGB-VGA converter.   The converter does the big job of field and frame capture at 15khz, and conversion to 31khz VGA.   Despite the complicated and inelegant video processing chain (D-A-D-D-A), the resultant picture looks quite nice.

The most elegant chain is IIgs>RBG analog 15khz monitor (D-A).

There actually was at least one LCD monitor in the USA with functional
SCART... the Samsung 910MP.  This works well directly with a IIgs
SCART cable also... (D-A-D).
