Imagewriter 2 to Apple 2e Cable

If I remember correctly from over 12 years ago, you can use a Mac to Hayse
modem cable to connect an Imagewriter 2 printer to an Apple 2e with a Super
Serial card.  Is this correct or am I about to become a Super Serial killer?
