Re: Lost Classics - TimeOut Central

"took forever" ...

Sorry, it "took forever" to get something "free" for you.

I'll remember that next time, and will be sure to just not bother
because it might upset you, having to wait for something thats free.

The ProTERM release was something that had to be done right. From the
start, and deserved no less than that. The release was to entail the
entire package, and getting that manual converted to PDF was a larger
effort than I had envisioned. I am still however very pleased with the
outcome and think it was very well worth the over 40 hours I had to
put into it. Sorry I couldn't do it all at once, this isn't a paying
hobby.

The ProTERM release in effect relaunched the Lost Classics Project
back to the web, and since then, when things have been 'announced',
they have been posted along side. Even so far as to go back and
collect both the LCP content from the GEnie era, and the web era, that
did not match and combine them to form the most complete library of
items released to and through the Apple II Lost Classics Project since
it's inception. The exception, though un-intentional, was the Legend
Industries release. After preparing the material for release, and
literally logging in to publish the page just before announcing to the
audience in the room at KFest 2010, and intending to enable the
downloads of the PDFs that were also pre-posted, after the evenings'
activities finished ..

.. and well, we all got a little distracted and come Monday when I'm
suddenly hit over the head with accusations that quite frankly,
confused the shit out of me considering I had done *exactly* what was
requested, and having spent at least as much time collectively on the
PDFs, from the original submitted scans, and then even sent the
materials to multiple parties for review, including the accuser, weeks
ahead of time, I have to admit .. coupled with an apathetic internet
connection during the week after travels, the motivation was pretty
much gone.

Better check your glass house walls for cracks.
Remember that next time you make a commitment to show up someplace and
then blow it off.
