This is a sad thing. When EGO was still around, I had some qualms
about recommending that people get their Zips from Alltech. Alltech's
7MHz Zip has an underclocked 8MHz CPU, after all, and is exactly
the same (you just replace its 28MHz oscillator with a 32MHz one
to make it run at the right speed). Now, Alltech and Sequential
are the only ones that remain.

You can get Animasia from the author. I'll try to dig up the info
(or look at old issues of genielamp archived at
http://ground.isca.uiowa.edu/).

As for the Zip, get the 7MHz model from Alltech and replace its 28MHz
oscillator for 8MHz operation. It comes with an underclocked 8MHz
CPU. Note, you can often overclock this Zip to 9MHz or 10MHz (w/
36MHz or 40MHz oscillators, respectively).

Alltech also carries the 14MHz rated CPU that you can install, along
with even faster oscillators, to get 13-15MHz operation (see my post
in the word processor thread).
