Find someone with a Mac.
HyperMover is implemented as HyperCard stacks on each machine, and makes
use of features of HyperCard to extract and build the stack being
converted.
Any other method would require direct access to the data structures used
inside HyperCard stacks. If Apple chose not to do this for HyperMover,
I don't think it is particularly feasible for anyone else to try.
It would be a very large amount of work, and the end result would
duplicate the functionality of HyperMover. Why bother?
Even if HyperMover didn't require both machines, I'd still strongly
recommend having both machines available. The stack translation process
is not perfect - some features are different between the Mac and IIgs
versions of HyperCard (others are missing entirely in one version or the
other), and you will usually need to make modifications to the
translated stack to get it working properly. To do this, you need
access to the original stack running on its host machine, so you can see
how it behaves.
